Caliber Cruising Club

cCc Burgee

The Caliber Cruising Club (cCc) is an open community of current and past Caliber yacht owners. We currently have about 135 member boats on our roster. Many of us, but not all, are cruising on the Chesapeake Bay, though our membership includes people from CA, CO, CT, IL, DC, FL, MA, MD, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, TX, VA, WA and several live aboards, sailing in warm places.

We organize a June and September rendezvous in the middle Chesapeake Bay. The June rendezvous is a raft up with hors d'oeuvres and boat tours (location varies). The September rendezvous is usually held at Quiet Waters Park / Harness Creek in Annapolis, MD, which can be reached by either car or boat. Kathy Macdonald from Caliber Yachts has attended this rendezvous in the past.

The cCc publishes a newsletter three to four times a year with the intent on passing on information: boat project ideas, common problems, member news, and an updated membership list. Emails sent to other members are a great way to get advice on a problem, product performance, or installation ideas. Email addresses are included in the membership list. Newsy emails received are forwarded to the club members.

The goal of the cCc is to engender community and communication amongst and between current and former Caliber owners. With that in mind dues are quite low. A new membership costs $25, which includes a Caliber Cruising Club (cCc) burgee and one year membership. Annual renewal dues are only $10 and cover the cost of mailings and food and sodas at the rendezvous. The cCc is a great way to keep in touch with other Caliber owners and news about these fine boats.
